Af-Design - transform or scale object by %

Recommended Posts

In Affinity Design, desktop, Mac OS.

I would like to scale a number of individual objects to the same size. The transform panel is rather sparse. I don't see any way to scale an object by some % value. Is there some other way I can scale objects by a particular & value?

You can use expressions in the Transform panel to scale by percent, but in the current retail version this has to be done one item at a time.

Sorry, I discovered a tutorial video about this topic just now, although it didn't appear when I did a search (Vimeo). I got lots of other things for Photoshop, etc. I thought I was just searching within the Affinity Designer section. I found the video by accident while looking for Paragraph Styles.

So I guess this means I can't select 20 of the items and change them all at once?

The latest beta (Windows) has an option called "Transform Objects Separately" which should do what you want to do, if I understand your requirements correctly

I assume the Mac beta also has this option.

I may be getting this wrong but I have two sets of 4 rectangles all different sizes, if I select all of the rectangles in one set and then in the transform panel make sure the W + H are linked and type +20% everything scales, in the duplicate set, if I do the same thing but on individual rectangles and then overlay them on top of the first set they are scaled the same.
