My friends and I are planning to purchase the software soon enough if this option is available. Thanks! Staff MEB Posted March 8, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 8, 2019 Hi HighHorology, Welcome to Affinity Forums There's no way to turn this off in the current retail version but the Customer Betas already have an option in the Preferences, Tools section to turn this off called Use ⇧ modifier to cycle tools (Mac)/ Use Shift key cycle tools groups (Win). If you are willing to give them a try you can download them from the corresponding section in the Affinity Beta Software Forums. The latest Beta is usually pinned at the top in the respective app/platform section. It disables both cycle and switch back behaviours simultaneously. It's a great feature, I think almost everyone will be pleased if it's now available in the Official release.
