Data Merge & Booklet

Recommended Posts

The ability to insert mail merge fields from a spreadsheet file in multiple locations in documents is very important to the volunteer work I do for non-profits. I cannot find that ability in Publisher and I do hope it will appear in the future. We use it with personalizing mail outs to printing tickets and it is so nice to be able to create layouts upon which we can include serial numbers, etc. Have I missed this? If no, is it a design goal?

I also cannot find any reference to the ability to create a booklet ... important for proofing work.

Hello @Doug Thomson,

Welcome to the forum.

There is no data merge at the moment as you may have noticed after your post in the respective thread ;)

It is most likely that this will come as a feature at some time but it is not know when.

From a practical standpoint there are many other options available to create adress labels and tickets (e.g. LibreOffice) so you are not limited to accomplish this task. Except that you can't do it with Affinity Publisher right now :)

Cheers,
d.
