md_germany
I can not work for print publishing with AffinityDesigner, if the result is not WYSIWYG. OS X 10.14.2 AD 1.704 PDF (für Druck) iMac 27'', Mac OS X Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68)
Matthias
Did you use a PDF version that understands transparency? Or is this rendered with something like PDF X/1a? It might be just a workaround but many print shops accept PDF X/4, which should handle transparencies better. MattP
Staff MattP Posted March 7, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 7, 2019 Is it possible to post an example document (just a simple one to show the problem) and tell us what options you chose when exporting? Thanks!
md_germany
A little detail from my document. I can not generate a correct PDF. Hope it helps to find (my?) the mistake. test_brush_pdf.pdf test_brush_pdf.afdesign MattP 1 iMac 27'', Mac OS X Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68)
Staff Sean P Posted March 11, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 11, 2019 Hi md_berlin, I don't believe PDF supports the Size and Opacity variance of pressure curves which is why the PDF is looking incorrect. Unfortunately to maintain this look it won't be possible to keep the object as a vector, if that is OK then you can rasterise the layers to a pixel layer which will export to PDF correctly. Shouldn't that happen automatically then?

md_germany
Many thanks for your answers. I am a great fan of Affinity and hope, that I sometimes work exclusively with Publisher, Designer and Photo. But I although think, that a vector-program must be able to output vector graphic without compromise. There are tasks, where I think about before beginning which output I need. If it is a vector result I need, I work with a vector Program like Designer, otherwise I start the work in Photo. iMac 27'', Mac OS X Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68)
