Raymondo Posted March 5, 2019 Share Posted March 5, 2019 To achieve the bevel and emboss on the black fill only as shown you need to create a copy first of your text or shape then turn it off temporarily (move to top level). Proceed to apply strokes as you wish to the underlayer. If you want to emboss etc the black text/shape fill only you then need to switch back on your top layer copy and apply fx emboss to this copy to achieve the fill emboss effect. From a creatives point of view it would be an advantage to include a right click in the appearance panel whereby you could bring up the fx panel and apply effects to individual layers within the appearance panel as you can with stroke width and blending mode. This would avoid the above procedure and enhance the UI experience. Maybe this is something the dev team could take on board and include at some point. That said , I applaud the positive move forward that this update represents.
