Hi, Skipper1996,

Some quick observations. The boolean operations do not work w. groups. The order of operation depends on the layer stack order. An upper object can add, subtract, etc to a lower one. The results take on the attributes of the lower object. The operations are destructive. They remake the object geometry. For instance, if you want to subtract the brownish shape from the grey & white rectangles, there must be multiple copies of the brown shape.

The process is basically fairly simple, but it can take lots of operations to get what you want.

For non-destructive boolean operations press and hold ⌥ (option/alt) while clicking on the boolean operations icon in the main toolbar. This will generate a compound object which you can expand in the Layers panel to access and edit the original objects - the compound will update to reflect the changes made.
