Hello to all. Thanks to the affinity team for the next update and appearance panel.
I also found a bug. If a gradient is selected as the border fill and an arrow is also selected as the cap, the fill behaves inadequately. I recorded it on video.

I've sorted this out so it'll be in the next build - thanks for the heads-up! :)

Loving the new arrowheads, Matt! Two things, though:

1) When using a textured brush style some of the filled arrowhead types adapt to the textured style and some don’t. Maybe all should have the contour property that adapts to the chosen brush type.

2) Just a proposition: Can you place the arrowhead controls in the context bar for pen and brush tool? Maybe by duplicating the contour control of the move tool context bar.

Hi, I noticed a fairly significant decrease in performance between 1.7.0.4 and 1.7.0.5.

1.7.0.4 - https://www.dropbox.com/s/qu6cmhloryq5cxg/1.7.0.4.mov?dl=0
1.7.0.5 - https://www.dropbox.com/s/449c9fxsyqtgybt/1.7.0.5.mov?dl=0

What's interesting is mainly about moving more complex objects with the cursor. Moving them with the keyboard is my temporary workaround.

There is a temporary bit of code in at the moment that would cause this problem - it's going to be replaced very soon, but I'd urge you to keep an eye on this to ensure performance goes back to normal soon - or instead just send me your file and I will make sure that the fix restores the performance and let you know :) If you'd like to send me the file to test with my personal email is mpriestley (at) seriflabs (dot) com

Thanks! :)

The point transform tool is a nice addition but only scales proportionally and you have to use a node as a handle. Seems like a very specific use. Would it be an idea to make it work on nodes too, fewer tools to learn.

Congrats @MattP and the rest of the Devs on a monster upgrade!

An idea to consider: It would be great to be able to slide Arrowheads and tails along their path, and have AD hide what's before or after the arrowheads. This would be useful in scenarios where one wants to truncate the same path in different locations before or after arrowheads, as the elements which the arrowheads point to move in the composition, for example. This could be accomplished using the existing node tool, the app would just need to display a control point for each arrowhead on the path so that one could slide it back and forth.

We have thumbnails!? [just kidding emoticon]

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.0 | Affinity Photo 2.4.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I hate it when I have these dumb moments.

Just wanted to share a happy accident I had while playing with the new arrow ends. An Inner Circle on the bottom and Triangle Tail on the top, slid to the proper proportions, makes a beautiful dress!

That is impressive.
