bliss9
Hi there, I have two problems. I'm trying to solve the problem. every time I try to select a font, Affinity Photo freezes. It stops mainly at H or M. I tried to remove the font, but I still have problems. Is there any other way? And there is a duplicate font thickness. Is this an error? I'm using Photo version 1.6.5.135 on Windows 10 64bit. There was no problem when I used the trial version. I downloaded 5 fonts (English 3 Korean 2). Staff Dan C Posted March 4, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 4, 2019 Hi bliss9, Welcome to the forums I'm sorry to hear it! Could you please upload the font files to the following link - https://www.dropbox.com/request/diT4nILnpJZHXeUf9itR Resetting Affinity to it's default settings may help, you can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. The app will now open. Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc. To backup such settings before resetting the app, please watch our Affinity - Exporting User Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts video. https://vimeo.com/189596577 Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks! Staff Chris B Posted March 5, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 5, 2019 Hey bliss9, Thanks for sending all the fonts over. I've just ran a few tests and although I didn't get a hang or crash using Affinity Photo 1.6, I was getting an enormous lag about half way down the font list. The lag was so bad I was seeing the app react up to 20-30 seconds after a command. I then ran the same tests in our 1.7 beta and didn't experience any lag, crash or hang. Regarding to the duplicate Haan Ygodic 230 font, this only appears to be a duplicate in 1.6. If I check in 1.7, it only shows one 'Regular' weight. It's clear there has been some improvements to 1.7 so hopefully any troubles you're currently experiencing shouldn't bother you once we release 1.7. You are more than welcome to download the 1.7 beta if you wish. Just be cautious about putting any 1.6 files into it that you need for production.
