Dan Thomas
Let's say I've started creating a path with the Pen tool, and I've got a handful of nodes already present. Then I realize I need to start over. Is there a command that resets the pen tool, or deletes all the nodes, or something like that?
Staff MEB Posted March 3, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 3, 2019 Hi Dan Thomas, Welcome to Affinity Forums There's many ways to do this depending on the situation. If you press the Delete key while still in the Pen Tool it will delete the last node you created. After deleting it click again in the remaining (now last) node to continue drawing the path from there. To delete several nodes, with the Pen Tool selected, press and hold ⌘ (cmd) on Mac or CTRL on Windows to switch temporarily to the Node Tool, then draw a marquee around the nodes you want to delete and press the Delete key on your keyboard. You can also click on a single node or additionally press ⇧ (shift) to click on more nodes individually to add them to the selection, then press the Delete key to delete them. If you want to delete the whole path you have drawn, pick the Move Tool, click on the path to select it and press the delete key on your keyboard. There's even a few more ways to select/manipulate nodes (in particular on the Betas) but those should cover your issue.
