Publisher not printing book properly

Recommended Posts

1.7.0.249 version

HP Envy 4502 Series

I am trying to print double sided in book format. When the printer pulls the page back in it doesn't seem to pull it in far enough to print. Therefore it cuts off the edge of my print. My margins and page sizes work properly because I can print it out and manually put the page back in to print on the other side and it's fine.  I can also open the pdf and print double sided and it works.  It is a little bit smaller when I do that though.

I have gone through a ton of ink and paper and I can't sort it out. I only have one printer that prints double sided automatically so I can't test it with a different one.

That sounds like an issue for HP support.

I have this same issue when printing as a book.

Plus if  I save as a PDF document, it won't print book style. I have a news sheet I want to start sending out via email, to be printed if necessary by those who receive it, but it will only print A4 double sided. Hence 2 sheets of paper instead of 1 sheet book style.any suggestions please?

thanks

Just printed part of a large project as book and booklet with an HP Envy 5549, double-sided on Letter size paper. Because regular paper won't print borderless, I had to scale down to 95% so nothing got cut off. In both cases, the result appears correct. I had to be sure to set the flip to short side, otherwise the second side was upside down. No problems with sheets not going in far enough to do the second side.

It would help if you would provide a sample .afpub file. But I'd also like to understand more about what you mean by printing a PDF 1 sheet book style. Perhaps having the .afpub file would help with that, too. It's possible that part of the problem is in your document setup, and part is in the printing options chosen when printing the PDF.
