Joining two adjacent shapes to create a third 'closed' fillable zone?

Hi sentientbean,

Go to menu View ▹ Snapping Manager... and check Snap to object geometry almost on the bottom of the dialog.

Then select the Pen Tool and move the cursor near the corners of the other shapes. It should change to a yellow circle when you are over the nodes. Just click in all of them to form the new shape.

Hi MEB,

Brilliant! Fantastically helpful, once again. The only difference is that, when I tried it, the nodes changed to magenta circles, rather than yellow, but hey, it works perfectly! I will pass this knowledge on to a fellow AD user, who will be very glad to have a solution to this little conundrum.  :)

Thanks so much for your prompt assistance.  :)
