Hello,

I'm trying to export to Photoshop and preserve the layers (a background and another image). When I export it gets compressed to a single layer. What am I missing?

What are you exporting to? PSD, PDF, JPG, PNG?

Use PSD that preserves the layers

iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... XP-Pen Artist-22E, - iPad Pro 12.9

I'm exporting to psd. I expected the layers to be there, but they are not. I'm new-ish to Affinity--is there something I should look into?

I don't have photoshop but I saved the psd file and reopened it in Affinity. No layers. I also sent it to my designer ti check (he has photoshop but no Affinity). No layers.

I'm sure I'm making a dumb mistake, but what?

I have Photoshop, can you upload the file so I can take a look? If you would rather keep it private a mod can give you a link to their dropbox space for them to look at.

The Affinity apps will only use the PDF portion of an Adobe file and only if that PDF portion is Available.

I have just created an image made of 3 layers, I have renamed the layers and then exported it to PSD fully editable see screenshot below.

This is the PSD preset I selected

Not only did Photoshop open the exported PSD file correctly it also imported the guide info, which I was surprised at.

Exported PSD: Space.psd (8.6MB)

Original afphoto file: Space.afphoto (8.1MB)
