Peter Kahrel
In the Keyboard shortcuts editor you can assign shortcuts to a selection of menu items. I think all menu items should be selectable. For example, the Text menu has the useful item 'Toggle unicode'. But that could be made so much more useful if we could assign a shortcut to it. P. It's found in the Preferences, Keyboard Shortcuts, in the Miscellaneous section. Peter Kahrel
Thank you, Walt, found it. But since in the interface the item is in the Text menu, I'd have expected it to be in the Text section in the KBSC editor. Miscellaneous would be for things that aren't available in the interface, such as a shortcut (like InDesign's) to activate the last used entry field in panel, a shortcut to close all documents, etc. P. walt.farrell
I agree, and cannot explain its placement in Miscellaneous for the shortcut editor. Except, possibly, that Miscellaneous is the home for a number of other toggle-keys, so maybe it was grouped with them for that reason. Peter Kahrel
Well, yes, but the ones in Miscellaneous are toggles for panels, not text. P.
somewhereinusa
Unless I haven't found it you can't assign Interactive>Insert>Hyperlink. You can however assign Interactive>Insert>Anchor and Interactive>Show>Anchor.

somewhereinusa
Do the "powers that be" watch these threads or does this need to be reported as a bug?
walt.farrell
Yes, they watch the topics in this forum, but if you think it's a bug you should post in the appropriate Bugs forum (Windows, Mac) as those are the ones the Quality Assurance team watches, and where they expect and track bug reports. For example, Peter's initial post in this topic is clearly a feature request, not a bug. However yours feels like more of a bug report as it is specifically about a relatively new feature and an inconsistent implementation of that feature.
