When do we expect them to be implemented?

Not sure what "them" you're talking about. If you mean tables, yes we have them. If you mean, can one do calculations in tables, or other automated manipulation of the data in tables, no.

To be honest, I thought tabulation was just laying text/data out in a table format. What do you mean by it?

Whould be nice, if you explain what you mean with „tabulation“ If you think of placing tabs in a text – it is already there:

  • Go to menu „View/Show Text Ruler"
  • Place a text cursor into a text frame – > The text ruler is shown.
  • Click into the ruler to place a tab.
  • Right click onto a tab mark to adjust the tab.

guy sorry table are tables. Tabulation is totally a different thing.

Tabulation is one of the most important thing in text editing

Sorry, but the dictionary doesn't agree with your use of terminology.

Quote

Tabulation of Data. The process of placing classified data into tabular form is known as tabulation. A table is a symmetric arrangement of statistical data in rows and columns. Rows are horizontal arrangements whereas columns are vertical arrangements.

Tabulating is a way of processing information or data by putting it in a table. This doesn't mean the kind of table you eat off of, though. It refers to a table, or chart, with rows and columns. When tabulating, you might have to make calculations.

Not at all related to text editing, and entirely related to tables.
