R C-R
It is not entirely clear from your description or link how you are trying to edit the layer. It would help to know which tool are you using, where exactly on the canvas you are clicking, the type of object (Artistic Text, perhaps?), & so on. R C-R
In your screenshot, you have the Pan Tool (looks like a hand) selected. Once the Artistic Text layer is selected, you can tap the "T" key on the keyboard or double-click inside the bounding box with the Move Tool to enter text edit mode. aman204 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
