CliveH
Thanks for the update - I've just installed 1.7.0.249 on Win 10. Installation went fine but it restarted Windows as part of the installation process with no option for me to delay until a more convenient time. Not a big issue but would obviously be better to give the user control over when the restart takes place. Clive
Staff Jon P Posted March 15, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 15, 2019 Thanks for reporting this, I've seen it once myself but haven't had it since. We are still currently investigating the exact cause of this install behaviour, as it's not intended behaviour. CliveH
Thanks Jon. It didn't do it again (no restart needed) when I updated to 257 so perhaps just a transient thing. Clive
walt.farrell
I've also seen it once. There was a popup saying something about the installation requiring update of some Windows system component (sorry, I didn't capture a screenshot) and when I dismissed the popup the installation continued, then Windows rebooted without further warning. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
