249 installation causes Windows restart with no option to delay

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the update -  I've just installed 1.7.0.249 on Win 10.

Installation went fine but it restarted Windows as part of the installation process with no option for me to delay until a more convenient time.   Not a big issue but would obviously be better to give the user control over when the restart takes place.

Thanks for reporting this, I've seen it once myself but haven't had it since.

We are still currently investigating the exact cause of this install behaviour, as it's not intended behaviour.

I've also seen it once. There was a popup saying something about the installation requiring update of some Windows system component (sorry, I didn't capture a screenshot) and when I dismissed the popup the installation continued, then Windows rebooted without further warning.
