Hi All

I currently subscribe to Adobe and I'm finding it difficult to let go of Lightroom and Photoshop.

I've had a Affinity for a while now and have gone through the Workbook to understand it better.

However, I've found it's ability to carry out RAW processing in the Develop Module is lacking a little.

If opening a DNG file (Which 99% of my RAW files are) I've found it doesn't render the blacks as well as a native RAW (Such as a CR2 for Canon). plus it doesn't handle the shadows and highlights as well as Adobe in general.  More recently I've given an overview of Affinity Photo to our the Camera Club I attend, as I don't think anything comes near it for the price and is a  great asset for those not wishing to go the Adobe route.

As part of the overview I put a few DNGs together to show the club and came across a strange pink colour cast on a DNG compared to Adobe Camera RAW. See attached. I've also attached the DNG to get your thoughts.

Keep up the good work guys! Designer is also superb!!!!!

Carl

Are you a Windows user or a Mac user?

If Mac you can change to the Apple Core RAW engine instead of the serif RAW and the image comes out as it does in Camera RAW
