moonliner
When I make a rectangular selection on a pixel layer and hit delete, the layer is deleted within the rectangle. If I use the lasso tool from the same drop down, hitting delete deletes the selection, not the layer contents. I can't seem to delete a freehand selection. Why is this happening? moonliner
But I own Photo, not Beta. Can I get the fix?
Staff MEB Posted February 21, 2019 Staff Share Posted February 21, 2019 Hi moonliner, The fix will be included in the next retail update, however if you are willing to give the Beta a try you can download it from here: - Affinity Photo Customer Beta - 1.7.0.243 (Windows)- Affinity Photo Customer Beta - 1.7.0.110 (Macintosh) Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
casterle
Just now, moonliner said: But I own Photo, not Beta. Can I get the fix? If you've got a license you can download the beta and run it in parallel with the release version. https://affinityspotlight.com/article/affinity-photo-17-beta-available-now/ Quote Windows 11 Pro, XP-Pen Deco 03, AP, AD & APub
R C-R
As a workaround for the bug, if you are using the Mac 1.6 version & have an Apple extended keyboard with a forward delete key, that will delete the contents. I'm not sure if it works with other keyboards or the Windows version.
