How can i disable this selection in pink or oder colours

Recommended Posts

Please help,

how can I disable that AD is marking my objects with colour lines? Even if I chose an other object very often the lines stay.

I can not evaluate the look like because the lines are disturbing.

I am quite new here and was not able to find any help.

Thanks

Hello pupsala,

The purple lines show the objects that are candidates for snapping.
To remove these lines, click on the small arrow to the right of the magnet and untick "Display magnetic elements" (I'm not sure about the translation, sorry).

"Show Snapping Candidates" is the dull English. We had a provincial by-election a while back and are now having a federal by-election and I was so hoping that ticking that box would enliven the local news by an order of magnitude. I pictured physical snapping, not verbal snapping.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hi pupsala,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
These lines indicate which objects are considered snapping candidates. Check this video tutorial if you want to learn more about them. To disable them completely go to menu View ▸ Snapping Manager... and change the Candidates dropdown to anything other than Candidate List.
