.eps in Affinity Designer

Recommended Posts

Hello

I have a problem with .eps files. Im using the latest Affinity Designer for Windows version and .eps files from Freepik look like the picture I attached. There is some kind of mesh visible, instead of smooth gradients. Any way to fix it? It's crucial for me.

Thanks!

Hi marceli,

Welcome to the forums :)

This .eps file has been created in Illustrator using a Mesh gradient, unfortunately these aren't compatible with Affinity Designer currently which is why you're seeing the 'mesh' in the imported version.

Unfortunately there's not much that can be done about this, as it's simply not compatible with Affinity, apologies.

Hi Bent :)

Have you tried exporting to PDF using the PDF (for export) preset? We recommend using PDF to transfer files between AD and AI!

Inkscape imports this file in a very similar visual way

Exporting to SVG from Adobe Illustrator is the best I get.
