I am new to Affinity (just downloaded the trial version) and have been stumped on my first attempt at playing with a design concept. I have created a rectangle (in a layer) over a photo background. The object in the photo is angled and shows perspective but I cannot get my rectangle to show perspective. See attachment to follow what I am trying to achieve. It is something that I sketch all the time freehand so what do I need to do to get the desired result?IMGP5776_9127 0.80ct.afdesign

Hello Albatross,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Currently there's no perspective distort tool in Affinity Designer. This is already on our roadmap to be implemented later.

The only way to distort the rectangle is doing it manually converting it to curves (check the button Convert to Curves in the context toolbar for the Move tool) and editing its nodes with the Node tool.

You have applied a clipping path (the layer with a small crop icon) to the rectangle. I don't know if this is intentional or accidental but in case you want to delete it, you must click on its thumbnail to select it individually. Then drag it to the trash.
