nearest neighbor export no antialiasing?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to get clean export from AD to AP.

Round or diagonal shapes always have antialiased edges.

Even when set export from AD to nearest neighbor. That is what I use in photoshop.

When I import from AD or an illustrator ai-file I get unclean edges as well.

So it's not only AP import that's not clean, but also AD export.

I need clean pixel shapes! Is it a bug?

Thanks,

Onno

Hi onno-r,

By default vector shapes and lines will always give you anti-aliased edges, however you can modify this on a per object basis by changing the Coverage Map profile in the layer Blend Options dialog to be a straight line either at the top or bottom of the graph. See attached screenshots.

The resample option in the export dialog specifically relates to resampling that happens if you increase or decrease the pixel size of the export.

Thanks!

It took me a while to figure out how to get to the blend options, but now I know.

It would be nice to be able to set this a default.

Probably I'll have to make a feature request?

Looking forward to more great features.
