postmadesign Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 (edited) I would like to add a field to my document that is the same as the filename. I use this option in indesign a lot, but in affinity publisher, the filename always includes the suffix, which is not useful. Can you add an option to turn this off? Thanks! Joachim_L Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Why don't you use title from the Document Info? Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed
postmadesign Posted February 15, 2019 Author Posted February 15, 2019 Ah, cool, this did not seem to work before, now it does! Thanks a lot! Quote

Thanks a lot! Be aware that if you Save As... "Something Else" from "Something" for instance the tittle will remain "Something" Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
postmadesign Posted February 15, 2019 Author Posted February 15, 2019 That is good to know. This would mean a filename without suffix would still be the preferred option. By the way: there does not seem to be a "save copy" in APub? I use this option quite a bit in ID, I don't see why it is missing? Quote

A slightly foolish choice on Serif/Affinity's part, now we have to do Save (to save our most recent edits) then Save As... (to make a back-up) close that and then open the original.
