Adding a logo behind something of affinity designer

I am new to the affinity scene and just wondering if I can add a logo or photo behind something or someone?

Welcome to the forums. 

Short answer: Yes. You can. 

Long answer: It would really depend on that "something" or "someone". You might need to mask around it, change the layer stack position, clip it, etc...
