But if I install earlier beta (231) then earlier beta works fine with the same computer.

Kind regards

Thanks for the support.

Uninstalled 240

Reinstall 231

Works again AD-231/AP-231 :)

Kind regards

Hi Arun, installing an old beta doesn't really help us with the beta test ;-). Having a look through the Google results above, it seems people have either solved the issue by Resetting Windows, or by re-installing the Visual C++ runtime (specific to the installed app, we require VS2017 runtime).

I try all possible route from there (as far as I know). But no success. At least AD/AP 231 & APub 238 works for me now .... I need to convert all my 231 works into PDF to go back 1.6.5

Kind regards

But it will stop running soon, as the betas expire, so you might as well try to resolve the real problem :)

I've tried to hold CTRL while Affinity Designer is starting to reset /clear data, I'm running on Win 8.1 (x64) with the latest Visual C++ 2017 runtime and the problem persists. AD doesn't load correctly. It's very frustrating. :(

Have you tried reinstalling the Visual C++ runtime as Mark suggested above, which is often known to resolve this Windows error?
