This is interesting, I added more text to a document when the character style was still the Hyperlink style and each 'block' (I was using the Frame Text tool to make three separate frames) resulted in a new hyperlink being added to the hperlink studio with the same name as the most recently added hyperlink. Even after selecting No Style for my character style the addition of a text frame would result in a new hyperlink entry with the same name as the most recent hyperlink entry. It seems as though I can only add 'links'. I noticed that this also occurs with the art text tool.

Further to the above... I have become a pigeon in an experiment run by B.F. Skinner's evil twin, as recounted by Franz Kafka. Utterly unable to add text or pretty much anything to a document after making links with anchors as the target of the hyperlinks. Everything becomes a hyperlink to the last target. Starting and clearing user data and resetting the studio helps only as it will reset the links and targets in the re-opened document but I still cannot add anything. Going to go find some grains now.

Hi Old Bruce,
We've reported to development that the issue with the Character Style remaining set as Hyperlink, which sounds to be part of your problem. However we've not encountered issues with it constantly adding links even though you've selected No Style, nor have we encountered not being able to add any text! There is also a known issue that some anchors and hyperlinks to those are not being correctly remembered when a document is saved.

Is it possible you can get a video recording showing the steps your using so we can try and reproduce this please?

Thanks

Okay, but it is 56.9 MB in size and 6 and a half minutes long so do you want it here or in a drop box. I also have the Publisher file and 3 pdfs.

Make a new document with four pages. Use Basic Paragraph Style and No Style Character Style
On page 1 put three links to Pages 2,3 & 4.
Export to PDF.
Add text using Basic Paragraph Style and No Style Character Style.

Close document open document and add text using Basic Paragraph Style and No Style Character Style.

Hi Old Bruce,

I've followed your steps, but all the exports seem to be correct with working links and the text can be added. Uploading the video and other files here shouldn't be a problem. If you are struggling then I'll get a link sorted. :)

Thank you very much for the video - it was definitely very helpful. I can confirm that this was an issue that was already logged with development and should be fixed in the next build you get. :)

Thanks, I will stop with the hyperlink testing until then.
