Staff Dan C Posted February 13, 2019 Staff Share Posted February 13, 2019 Hi dibella87helen Please make sure your layer is selected in the layers panel and is a (Pixel) layer, not an (Image) layer. If you find your layer is an Image, not Pixel, please right-click it and select Rasterise. If your inpainting tool is still not working, please make sure your Opacity and Flow are set to 100% on the context toolbar. I hope this helps! dibella87helen 1 Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. AHarmsworth
Hi I'm having the same problem. Inpainting doesn't work. Have tried the fixes listed without success. When I try to inpaint I get a series of odd red patches appear which disappear immediately I cease inpainting. Will it be fixed if I download a default version of Photo? Thanks Harmy
Staff Dan C Posted February 14, 2019 Staff Share Posted February 14, 2019 Hi Harmy I'm sorry to hear this, the inpainting tool should create a red overlay where you paint, which will disappear when you let go of the mouse. If your brush is not working, you can reset your app back to default settings to see if this will help. You can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. The app will now open. Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc. To backup such settings before resetting the app, please watch our Affinity - Exporting User Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts video. https://vimeo.com/189596577 Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.
