beige
zoom modifier should be invoked when hitting command-space (not just space and then command) It's tedious to have to press space and then command to get this to work

Jeremy Bohn
I agree - I'm so used to pressing it the other way around that I couldn't figure out why my Mac kept beeping.
Staff Sean P Posted February 26, 2019 Staff Share Posted February 26, 2019 Unfortunately this is a side effect of the Zoom option, being a sub mode of the Pan Tool. You first have to be in the Tool, to use one of its sub modes/options. The other issue is that that Cmd+Space is also a shortcut for Spotlight on a Mac. The Zoom tool does have its own shortcut of Z for users who just want to zoom!
Jeremy Bohn
The command-space shortcut for Spotlight for mac is a bother, however it doesn't interfere with command-space zooming in Adobe's apps. Spotlight just pops up for a moment then goes away when you start zooming. Actually, one of the first things I do when setting up a new computer is disabling Spotlight's shortcut.
