Fit Frame to Content

Recommended Posts

Is this command not available yet or I am simply blind?

If it's not available yet could you please consider adding it.

I find it very useful when working with pictures.

Many thanks

Not a command, but: Double-click the bottom center node of the image frame to fit the height, and the center-right node to fit the width.

This used to also work for Text Frames, but seems broken (on Windows, at least) in .238.

Tried that before posting this request and it doesn't work for me. That's why I'm asking about that. It seems very basic to me. :)

If I click on the little red eye that shows additional text and then click on the bottom center or right center node, the frame expands to fit the text on my Mac. Running Publisher version 1.7.0.238

If it's working for me, but not for you, that sounds more like a bug report than a feature request, though :)

It works easily enough that it's hard to see how you could do it wrong. I'm on Windows, by the way (as you can tell from my signature).

That is what I am seeing too.  It seems it expands to fit the text that is already visible, but when the eye is crossed out that doesn't include the overflow - when you show the text using the eye, the box expands around all of it.

Well, have a look. By the way this same behaviour is observed both on Mac and Windows.

Ah. Don't click on Properties. Try just double-clicking on the center-right or center-bottom frame node. That's all I did.
