Brush Selection Tool

When I pick the Brush Selection Tool to say, change colour on an item, nothing happens. It doesn't seem to pick out the part I am selecting.

Welcome to the forums

With the Selection Brush Tool selected, please make sure the settings in the context toolbar are set to Add and the brush size is large enough to begin your selection.

Please also ensure you have a (Pixel) layer selected in the layers panel, if your layer is showing as an (Image) layer then the selection brush will not work until this layer has been rasterised. To rasterise the layer, select it in the layers panel and right-click on the layer and select Rasterise. I hope this helps!
