Rieha Posted April 8, 2015 Share Posted April 8, 2015 Locking layers needs to be easier. I suggest separate lock button for each layer (Illustrator style). Doesn't look elegant, but it's fast and intuitive. Now you can unlock a layer by clicking the lock icon beside the hide layer button, but I'd want to lock the layer by clicking at same spot. Please make it an option. Also, I don't like using the keyboard shortcuts for this, because they're mapped at the wrong side of the keyboard (I'd like a way to remap them). cheshiredesigner 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

decimate555 Posted June 15, 2015 Share Posted June 15, 2015 initially I also would've preferred that layer palette layout too… however I like that you can select your specific layers (command+click) and click on the lock icon for multiple locks/unlocks at the same time, works with layer visibility and deletions too. With the lock icon where it's positioned suggests a more universal approach for simultaneous control… individual lock icons per layer could deter some artists from trying it as described above.
