dingxf1994 Posted February 8, 2019 Share Posted February 8, 2019 Hey guys, I have been shooting photo with Sony A6500 with two lens which is supported with SerifLabs RAW engine. I am using Affinity photo 1.6.7 on my Mac. When I open the raw file within Affinity photo, it appears the application did not perform auto lens correction, but the application can read camera and lens info correctly. I applied the distortion corrections and it seems to have straightened the verticals at the expense of imposing a pincushion shape. However the image is too bright, especially the foreground: I thought I would try a Levels Adjustmentbut the histogram was well spread out so it had no effect. I then tried Nik HDR on the single image: This certainly improved the range, but the histogram gave scope for Levels Adjustment: An improvement, but there is a curious blue colour cast in the vignetted areas. Conclusion: Affinity does not automatically correct the lens barrel distortion and there seems to be problems with the highlights. Staff Gabe Posted February 11, 2019 Staff Share Posted February 11, 2019 Hi all, I think the reason why we do not do lens correction is the actual name: On our list, we have it as Sony DT 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 SAM, and yours is Sony DT 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS . AS far as I can tell, there is a difference between OSS and SAM, but I could not find any difference between the 2 lenses. They seem to be the same lens ?!
