Impossible to select a vector line

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone ;)

When I want to select a line drawn in vector mode with the second arrow without a tail that displays a selection rectangle around it and not the nods as it should be. Impossible !

Strange ?

Can someone help me ?

I have delected the right layer…

I wonder if this is not an issue with merging and grouping

It is always helpful to be able to see what a poster is doing, so it’s a good idea to turn on screen recording and in Affinity turn on Show touches in Settings. That way people can see what you are trying to do and whether you are doing it correctly.

If you’re not sure how to record screen check this out :)

In that recording I forgot to select the layer so on can see that I can’t select the shape with the second arrow to do a rectangle

Here is the right recording :

you can see that I can’t select the line with the nods but only with a rectangle...The result is the same with the first or the second arrow…

In the Layers (Calques) Studio shown in the videos, only the pixel layer is checked/visible. If you want to be able to marquee-select the vector layers, you need to make them visible first.

Hi Euclide,
Some of the elements of your illustration were drawn (as raster elements) on a pixel layer. These elements are NOT vector objects and as such cannot be selected individually nor their nodes highlighted or selected. You can only adjust/manipulate nodes on vector objects (identified in the layers panel as Courbe). Pixel layers are just pixels "painted" on a layer, not objects defined mathematically by nodes like vector objects.

Is there a way to depixelate or unmerge ? :(

Only if you can go back in the history studio to the step where it was rasterised.
