keximus
Why is there a difference in latest available versions of Designer in App Store and Affinity Store? The stand-alone trial that I've downloaded is 1.6.5 but the version that's been in the App Store for quite a while now is 1.6.1 What gives? Staff Gabe Posted February 4, 2019 Staff Share Posted February 4, 2019 Hi @keximus, Welcome to the forums. Function wise, they are identical. The only difference is that one requires a product key, one does not, as it's handled by the Mac App store. Thanks, Gabe.
keximus
Not sure if I fully understand - are you saying that 1.6.1 = 1.6.5 ? If so, why is there a different version number created in the first place?
Staff Gabe Posted February 4, 2019 Staff Share Posted February 4, 2019 Yes, they are identical. The different build number is because we have had a few internal builds to test the installed, it and it led to 1.6.5. But feature wise, it's identical to the 1.6.1 version. walt.farrell
The current versions are shown in this forum topic, where you can also see the release notes which demonstrate that (for MacOS) Designer 1.6.1 and 1.6.5 are equivalent.
