Add command not working in Designer for iOS

Recommended Posts

OK. What format?

btw: the add command just worked on one of the two identical (duplicated) figures in the file, but it might be a bug anyway.

The .afdesign file not an 'Exported' file.

In Document menu tap Save a Copy. This creates the .afdesign file in your chosen directory.

fixed blueman-1.afdesign

There appear to be a series of unnecessary curves that are causing the issue. I deleted them and the add then worked fine.

Thanks,  @DM1  :)

As a newbie I am still in the process of learning the ropes of Affinity Designer.

Another question about the add feature: When I add multiple forms with different colors into one, the new form turns into one color only. Is that normal? It would be nice to complete a multicolored form, turn it into one and add effects only once, and then be be able to duplicate it (with multiple colors, effects and all), e.g. when drawing a flower bed.

Hi @keynut5,

Yes, this is normal. When adding 2 objects together, they basically become 1. And one object can only have one fill colour. You can add a gradient or clip other objects inside it to make it a different colour.

Thanks,

Gabe.

There is a lot of useful info in the Help Files. Here is a PDF version you can browse through easily. :)
