I created this image in Affinity Designer on PC. Screenshot below:

But when I print it, the mask layer and gradients are distorted:

Any help would be appreciated.

I often see a bunch of distortion too when printing out of Designer things with fills, gradients, applied styles etc. To overcome I've exort as JPG etc. and print that then from inside another app.

☛ Affinity Designer 1.7.1 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.7.1 ◆ OSX El Capitan

Thanks. This is part of a job I'm getting offset printed, so I need to get it right. I guess I can convert some of the objects to placed images. Hope they can fix this.

I tried exporting as a .pdf. That printed with more, different, errors.

  1. Are you using the latest version?
  2. Can you reproduce it?
Yes. Every time I try to print this file. If I cut and paste pieces into a new file, the errors still print.
  3. Does it happen for a new document? If not do you have a document you can share that shows the problem?
  4. If you cannot provide a sample document then please give an accurate description of the problem for example it should include some the following:
  •    What application (Designer/Photo/Publisher) are you using?
  •    What is your operating system and version (Windows 10, OSX Mojave, iOS 12 etc)?
    Windows 10
  •    What happened for you (and what you expected to happen)
Looks fine on screen. Prints with errors
  •    Provide a recipe for creating the problem (step-by-step what you did).
  •    Screenshots (very handy) or a screen capture/video.
  •    Any unusual hardware (like tablets or external monitors or drives that may affect things) or relevant other applications like font managers or display managers.
  •    Did this same thing used to work and if so have you changed anything recently? (software or hardware)

Really odd. I managed to replicate it, but with "rasterise entire page" works fine. Try this and let us know how it goes:
