ctphoto2115 Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Hello, New to the forums here. I just migrated over to Affinity Photo and I'm trying to replicate an action I use in PS. I would love to replicate this as it's the one thing that I need to complete my skin retouching workflow to make the transition as seamless as possible. Here is the action from PS - Smooth Skin Action The part I cannot replicate is the "Blend If" step, as the following steps after that point are hard for me to "match up" as I don't have enough proficiency in Affinity Photo to follow the same steps/create the same result. Can anyone help me with this as this really helped me smooth skin tone quickly without having to use Frequency Separation? Thanks so much! Quote
Staff Callum Posted January 31, 2019 Staff Posted January 31, 2019 Hi Ctphoto2115, Welcome to the forums The closest thing to Blend If in Affinity is the Blend Range button it can be found in my attached screenshots. Thanks Callum Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.

Dia Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Not sure if you still need this, but in case someone else is searching the forums and comes across this. This is how you'd retouch skin in Affinity Photo Quote
firstdefence Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 In a nutshell, Blend If does pretty much what Luminosity masks do: It masks out part of a layer based on the luminosity of pixels. https://photographylife.com/blend-if-photoshop Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more...
