Also the pasted object referenced (the pasted in obj) is indicated to be the initial one itself. Staff MEB Posted January 30, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 30, 2019 Hi smg, Welcome to Affinity Forums I don't know for what you are using this so some methods may be more appropriate than others. One of the ways you can use to solve this (if applicable) is adding the shapes (so they become one) before pasting whatever you want inside them. So for example if you want to paste something inside two independent ellipses/shapes, select both then go to menu Layer ▸ Geometry ▸ Add to turn them into a single object. You can then paste whatever you want inside it. Another method is to position the object you want to paste inside over the two (or more objects) on the canvas then go to menu Edit ▸ Cut to remove it and copy it to the clipboard then select each of the objects individually and go to menu Edit ▸ Paste Inside to paste the object inside of each one - Affinity will respect the original position of the object you cutter when pasting inside the objects individually. To solve the the problems I have used the second way you have posted, but in my case was a big job due to the high number of shape involved.
