Find and replace text color

I've had a similar problem. I created white text over a coloured background then decided to include a text box with white fill and black text. i could not change the text colour from white to black or any other colour so my text did not show against the white fill.

I'm not sure you're having a "similar" problem because you don't mention using Find & Replace, which is what this topic was discussing.

If it's not related to using Find & Replace, you should probably start a new topic. If you were using Find & Replace perhaps you could describe the workflow more completely, and provide some screenshots (and possibly a sample .afpub file, as PaulS suggested).
