Staff MEB Posted January 30, 2019 Staff Posted January 30, 2019 Hi j3rry, Thanks for reporting this. Issue logged to be looked at (Metal issue). Same problem with Clipped Tones. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Staff MEB Posted January 31, 2019 Staff Posted January 31, 2019 Hi j3rry, I'm assuming you have opened a RAW file in the screenshot above. Can you tell what do you have selected in the Assistant (menu View ▸ Assistant Manager... with the raw file already opened) in the RAW output format dropdown? is it set to 16 or 32 bit? Thanks. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
j3rry Posted January 31, 2019 Author Posted January 31, 2019 Hi MEB, It's set to 16Bit. 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, iPad Air 11", MACOS Sonoma & iPadOS, Affinity V2-Universallizenz
Staff MEB Posted January 31, 2019 Staff Posted January 31, 2019 Ok, thank you for checking this. This issue is being looked at. Meanwhile, it shouldn't happen when that option is set to 32 bit (with RAW files). A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
j3rry Posted January 31, 2019 Author Posted January 31, 2019 If I set it to 32bit all is fine with the clipping indicator, but than the saturation slider is without function. 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, iPad Air 11", MACOS Sonoma & iPadOS, Affinity V2-Universallizenz
Staff MEB Posted January 31, 2019 Staff Posted January 31, 2019 Yes, we are also aware of the Saturation slider issue when the RAW output format is set to 32bit. Both things should be fixed in an upcoming Beta. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

Staff MEB Posted May 28, 2019 Staff Posted May 28, 2019 Hi j3rry, What's the specs of your Mac? Does it have a dedicated graphic chip? What GPU specifically? A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

Staff MEB Posted May 28, 2019 Staff Posted May 28, 2019 Thanks for the info j3rry. I've updated the report. This issue is not reproducible in all systems thus the request for the specs. This is being looked at and hopefully fixed in an upcoming Beta. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
j3rry Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 Ok, many thanks. 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, iPad Air 11", MACOS Sonoma & iPadOS, Affinity V2-Universallizenz
j3rry Posted August 9, 2019 Author Posted August 9, 2019 The problem with the transparent Highlight warning, instead of red or other good visible color, inside the develop persona is visible even in the .151rc3 beta. 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, iPad Air 11", MACOS Sonoma & iPadOS, Affinity V2-Universallizenz
Staff MEB Posted August 9, 2019 Staff Posted August 9, 2019 Hi j3rry, Yes, sorry. This issue is still unresolved. It only affects a few specific configs and we are still gathering info to correctly diagnose the issue. I've updated and bumped the report again to bring it to devs attention. Thanks for keeping at it. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
j3rry Posted August 10, 2019 Author Posted August 10, 2019 Thanks MEB, it would be really helpful to use this indicator during development. 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, iPad Air 11", MACOS Sonoma & iPadOS, Affinity V2-Universallizenz
TheNeil Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Hi all, I'm experiencing the same issue. Honestly, I thought it was a poorly-judged design change decision, so I'm glad to know it's a bug that can hopefully be fixed - makes my life a lot more difficult! Here's a small example fragment, and my system specs (my machine is pretty old - not sure if that's relevant). Hope this helps!
Staff MEB Posted August 21, 2019 Staff Posted August 21, 2019 Thanks for the feedback TheNeil. I've updated our report with your Mac specs. This is indeed specific to some machines. Welcome to Affinity Forums A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
j3rry Posted September 16, 2019 Author Posted September 16, 2019 With my brand new iMac the problem is resolved. 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, iPad Air 11", MACOS Sonoma & iPadOS, Affinity V2-Universallizenz
Staff MEB Posted September 16, 2019 Staff Posted September 16, 2019 Hi j3rry, As said above this only happens with a few specific configs - the issue wasn't fixed yet. Glad to know your new iMac isn't affected by this issue A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Staff MEB Posted October 2, 2019 Staff Posted October 2, 2019 Hi TheNeil, Welcome to Affinity Forums No, it wasn't fixed for 1.7.3. Are you experiencing the same issue? If so, do you mind attaching your Mac specs (menu Apple > About this Mac - leave the serial number outside the screen capture)? Seems this issue is limited to a few configs/graphic chips - it would help to know yours. Thank you. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
TheNeil Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 Hi MEB, I have provided my specs earlier in the post. Was just checking in to see if the latest versions were able to fix it. Thanks for the quick update
Staff MEB Posted October 3, 2019 Staff Posted October 3, 2019 My apologies TheNeil. I didn't check previous replies. Your Mac specs are already on our log/report. Thanks for your support. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
TheNeil Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 Hi team, Is there any backlog priority established for this fix as of yet? It's still broken as of 1.8.3, which is definitely making things more difficult. Thank you.
