hi,  i am having a problem with affinity photo,   every time i try to close a document i get a message saying.  " At least one file is being currently opened, Please wait for file to load before quitting the application".   i tried to reset affin photo by holding control key down when opening but it won't let me because there is a file already open.

Withing the last few days, I am also having this same problem.

When exiting, Affinity Photo, I get the error message  (paraphrase)963916455_errormessage.jpg.9d3d0db8dca23e10dd7dd064fe85e263.jpg"Can't close because a file is opening. Let the file open before exiting." I click ok but the error continues. It has happened right after opening the application; not performing any actions.

I am having to use a hard close on the PC and ctr+alt+del and go to Task Manager and stop the application by End Task.

Look forward to a solution.

Hi Luigic,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
If you are unable to close the app, force quite it. Then press and hold ⌃(ctrl) until a Clear User Data dialog appears. Keep the first three checkboxes ticked and press Clear. You should then be able to start/close the app and documents without issues.
