mick560
hi, i am having a problem with affinity photo, every time i try to close a document i get a message saying. " At least one file is being currently opened, Please wait for file to load before quitting the application". i tried to reset affin photo by holding control key down when opening but it won't let me because there is a file already open. Dogrun
Withing the last few days, I am also having this same problem. When exiting, Affinity Photo, I get the error message (paraphrase)"Can't close because a file is opening. Let the file open before exiting." I click ok but the error continues. It has happened right after opening the application; not performing any actions. I am having to use a hard close on the PC and ctr+alt+del and go to Task Manager and stop the application by End Task. Look forward to a solution. Edited January 29, 2019 by Dogrun added screen shot of error message

Luigic
Hi, anybody solved the problem?
Staff MEB Posted February 12, 2019 Staff Share Posted February 12, 2019 Hi Luigic, Welcome to Affinity Forums If you are unable to close the app, force quite it. Then press and hold ⌃(ctrl) until a Clear User Data dialog appears. Keep the first three checkboxes ticked and press Clear. You should then be able to start/close the app and documents without issues.
