Staff MEB Posted January 28, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 28, 2019 Hi castellrose, Welcome to Affinity Forums Each platform (Mac, iOS, Windows) requires its own license. To be able to run Affinity Photo (desktop) on Mac you have to purchase a license for it through the Affinity Store or the Mac App Store as you prefer. john123
I have, what I believe to be a related issue. I am running publisher Beta for windows on my surface pro. last year I acquired a Dell xps and was able to install a beta on that - I think realistically that will be the machine I will run the purchased version on - when that is released. however I can update the surface pro version and it just works. When I try and update the beta version on the dell it tells me that my beta has expires and won't let me update that version. on a paid for copy that makes sense. For a beta version when I am trying out which machine works best, it doesn't. Is there a way I can resolve this? regards

Staff MEB Posted January 30, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 30, 2019 Hi john123, Welcome to Affinity Forums We usually limit the betas to a month to prevent people from using older versions which may contain bugs already fixed in the most recent one(s). If you are having trouble updating the Beta uninstall it - as suggested by ubiquity - and install it again. You can download the most recent one (1.7.0.227) from this thread.
