Ravisen
I have recently installed Affinity Photo on my iPad Pro latest IPad but when open a new document, I do not see the option where you can open a photo. If I try to import a photo from iCloud, it is fine but I cannot see the photo of what it is before i open it. You see them as icons. So it is not practical. Now if i do have Affinity Photo and Photos application opened side by side and do a drag and drop, the photo will become so big and out of size on the on Affinity. Can some please help? Staff MEB Posted January 23, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 23, 2019 Hi Ravisen, Welcome to Affinity Forums You can switch the view in the Files app (when you use the Import/Open from cloud command) from list to thumbnail view. To do it tap and drag them list to the bottom a little until you see a group of icons/tabs on the top of the list. Tap the icon on the top right to switch between list and thumbnails view. Regarding your second issue, if the imported photo is bigger than the canvas size, zoom out (tap the photo once to make sure it's selected so you can see the blue bounding box that delimits its boundaries) then with the Move Tool selected drag from the corners of the bounding box of the image to scale it down and reposition it in the centre of the canvas if needed. Ravisen
Reply no 1: When I open my Cloud from Affinity, I have a few options to select, like iCloud Drive, On My iPad and Drive, as source of locations as shown in the attached file below. When select Drive, all the photos appear as Thumbnails but not showing the photos and I do not see the photos are they are. They would only show up after I have edited them on Affinity and save them back on Drive again. Reply no 2: I have tried your method before, it worked but then it is a very tedious way of doing it. Where as if there is already a photo on the edited page and try to drag and drop another one onto the existing one, then the photo will fit in automatically. I will not have to resize it like you mentioned.
Paul Mudditt
Try doing the same from iCloud Drive you will see the photos. Think there is a google drive limitation as I also don’t see thumbnails until I have opened the file from google drive. It’s not an Affinity problem as the photos don’t appear as thumbnails when browsing in the Files app either. DM1 1 Quote My dad always told me, a bad workman always blames their tools….
