emlazo1 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Hi, I'm starting new topic, because I have already multiple crashes and can't use AP at all at this moment, using AD beta to work Affinity Publisher Beta_2019-01-19-093355_Usuarios-iMac.crash Affinity Publisher Beta_2019-01-19-093409_Usuarios-iMac.crash Affinity Publisher Beta_2019-01-19-093514_Usuarios-iMac.crash Affinity Publisher Beta_2019-01-19-093539_Usuarios-iMac.crash Affinity Publisher Beta_2019-01-19-093615_Usuarios-iMac.crash Affinity Publisher Beta_2019-01-19-093755_Usuarios-iMac.crash Affinity Publisher Beta_2019-01-19-093912_Usuarios-iMac.crash
Seneca Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Before anything else, please try to reset Publisher by holding down the Command Key while starting Publisher. You should reset all options to see whether that made any difference. My experience with .221 is that initially I had a number of crashes but then they somehow stopped. It looks as if Publisher needed some warm-up time. 2017 27” iMac 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 • Radeon Pr 580 8GB • 64GB • Ventura 13.6.4. iPad Pro (10.5-inch) • 256GB • Version 16.4
KnikmanAV Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 same here (and I did a reset). I can open 221create a new doc or open an existing one, but as soon as I put the cursor in the document area or try to create a new guide the program crashes. Unusable at the moment. Please advise Hans
KnikmanAV Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 cleaned up (deinstall completely) AP from my Mac Pro and reinstalled. Created new document, created base grid and tried to place a guide. Clicking on the ruler crashed Ap instantly. Staff AdamW Posted January 20, 2019 Staff Posted January 20, 2019 Hi, It seems these crashes occur when 'Show Baseline Grids' is turned on. It looks like we'll have to issue an update as soon as we've worked out exactly what's going wrong. Patrick Connor 1

jmwellborn Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Same here. I haven't done anything related to Baseline Grids, but I have been toggling back and forth between .221 and Safari, and opening and closing new documents, with Saves, Save As, and Close without Saving while fiddling with page numbering. The new beta is working very smoothly on my iMAC. 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16 GB unified memory, 1 TB SSD storage, Ventura 13.6.7. Photo, Publisher, Designer 1.10.5, and 2.5.5. For whatever it's worth, I've just enabled Snap to Baseline Grid and Publisher started to crash instantly. As soon as I disabled that option these strange crashes stopped. Please have a look whether you have that option enabled and disable it and let us know whether that made any difference for you. 2017 27” iMac 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 • Radeon Pr 580 8GB • 64GB • Ventura 13.6.4. iPad Pro (10.5-inch) • 256GB • Version 16.4
emlazo1 Posted January 22, 2019 Author Posted January 22, 2019 Hi, an update about AP, I restarted the app as suggested, and at this moment (using the snap to baseline grid off) everything is working fine!
KnikmanAV Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 just tried, when snapping to baseline grid is off I can do things without crashing. As soon as snapping is turned on the crash is there.
