Jen77
Just set up trial desktop version of Photo on Win10 but I can't save file as JPG. Is Trial version full?
Staff MEB Posted January 17, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 17, 2019 Hi Jen77, Welcome to Affinity Forums Apart the limit of ten consecutive days of use, the trial is exactly the same as the retail version. To "save" files in non-native Affinity formats (JPG, TIFF, PNG etc) use File ▸ Export instead. Jen77
Thank you, that way works. Can you help me with another issue? After I use Crop Tool it automatically changes focus on View Tool, is the way to prevent changing tool?
Staff MEB Posted January 17, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 17, 2019 Hi Jen77, I'm afraid there's no way to prevent that. You can press the shortcut C to quickly switch to the Crop Tool again if that's what you want. It is problematic for people who expect all apps to work the same way, with the same menu choices in the same place for all of them. That has never been completely true, nor is it always the best or most logical way to handle such things. If nothing else, consider Affinity's concept of a dedicated Export Persona or Photoshop's (now deemed 'legacy') "Save for web" export option. The different views/positions came clear to me. So I will not repeat myself in this thread. Quote Windows 10 Pro x64 (1903). KeithA
I'm running the Mac version of Affinity Photo and when I try to export the file as a TIFF it goes through everything until the end when the export item status bar is up. It just hangs there and does nothing.

I cannot export a page of my document in JPEG or in PNG. I have tried to lower the quality of the JPEG, just in case, but it did not help. I get the message: "An error occured while exporting to xxxx. The file could not be created." Is it because it is the trial version? I tried to open the file in the V1, but it won't work (unavailable features). Thank you in advance for your answer. Lau
