bergmar
How do I switch between my black and white (the mask colors) when in the mask of a Fill Layer? It only shows a single color in the Colour properties box. Seems a bit time consuming to manually pick black or white every time I need to switch. Staff MEB Posted January 17, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 17, 2019 Hi bergmar, Welcome to Affinity Forums I'm afraid this is not possible when the colour switcher only displays a single colour well as it happens when you are working with a Fill Layer. I will pass your feedback to the dev team for consideration. Thanks for your support. bergmar
Thanks. A color picker for the Recolour adjustment layer would be the ultimate tool when working with colorization of old photos. Or..this...a more effective way to work with the Fill Layer mask. Is there a similar option available that I've missed? I want a tool that can colorize with blend modes, has a color picker and an easy way to deal with layer masks without having to add an éxtra mask on the layer. Staff MEB Posted January 24, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 24, 2019 Hi bergmar, Just a note to let you know that in Photo Customer Beta 1.0.7.107 you can now switch between the foreground and background colours (black and white) when working with Fill Layers's masks. Set a keyboard shortcut to Set Fill to Black and White in Affinity Preferences, Keyboard Shortcuts (first dropdown set to Photo and the second to Miscellaneous) and you can then swap between them using the (default) ⇧ (shift) + X shortcut (or change it to something else exactly in the same place in the Preferences).
