Affinity Masking vs Topaz Remask 5 Windows 10

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Out of frustration because of the bad results from Topaz Remask 5 that I purchased 2 weeks ago I gave the masking features of Affinity Photo a try. The results are overwhelming superior against Topaz Remask 5! Affinity Photo is faster, easier and the results are very good.  Contacted Topaz and they say:  "It's an old plugin that needs updating". Any one else here that had some luck with Remask 5 on Windows 10?

Regards,

David

Have great results from ReMask, as with any other product it comes down to learning to use the products. But AP has great masking tools.

Plus it’s cheaper tha ReMask and comes with a free RAW editing program. Never used it myself but I’ve heard it does a reasonabl job ;)

Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.

Thanks both! No on Windows Remask doesn't function proper in Windows 10, this is what Topaz says:

ReMask has not been updated for many years so there are a few bugs/feature requests/refinements that you have mentioned below that we are working on improving.

We are actually trying to incorporate the latest A.I. models into ReMask as well.

So please be on the lookout for future release on ReMask, we are very close to releasing ReMask into beta as well.
