chakko007 Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 Hey, as the title says. I wanted to ask whether or not there are plans to implement a software updater into the Affinity products. I think it is a great way to check for updates, and update your software quickly and easily. Quote
Staff MEB Posted January 16, 2019 Staff Posted January 16, 2019 Hi chakko007, This is already available in the latest Betas of all products for Mac (go to menu Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher ▸ Check for Updates) but not on Windows (at least for now). chakko007 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Staff Patrick Connor Posted January 16, 2019 Staff Posted January 16, 2019 There are plans to write a full software updater for Windows too, but that is not part of any of the current Windows releases or beta builds yet. chakko007 and Steps 2 Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program! R C-R Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Just guessing, but I assume there will be no built-in updater for the Mac App Store versions, since that is handled by the OS in System Preferences > App Store. Is that correct?
