Dominatio Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 Hi Folks. I'm brand new to Affinity, have no Photoshop experience and use Capture One for my Raw development work. I'm loving the the examples in Photo and attempting to get to grips with it, but it is so comprehensive that I get lost as soon as I start. The video tutorials on YouTube are great, both those from Affinity and others too, but I find I need to find a place to start! I need to learn Masking, Tone Mapping, Replacement (of sections of an image) as well as everything else, but in every tutorial there is a range of tools used, which I am sure do make sense to experienced users, but to me are overwhelming (i.e. showing masks the live filters, then explaining no mask required, and even an 'un-sharp' mask???) Really want to get to grips with this software and though I understand the layout and UI I need a 'Janet & John - Book 1' style approach, what to learn first, in what depth and then what next! Is there an order that I should watch the tutorials to get a paced learning with some degree of retention? Really appreciate constructive feedback. Ian Quote
