Other than price, Why is affinity better?

Recommended Posts

Photoshop hasn't been running too poorly for me, but Illustrator has been virtually unusable. It freezes all the time, and it causes a lot of visual artifacts when scrolling and zooming.

Switching to Affinity Designer has been great. It's faster, it goes into fullscreen, it's non-destructive in ways that Illustrator isn't, and it's very stable.

Affinity Photo also ticks all of the same boxes and does everything I need to do, with the exception of animated gifs. I don't think you can create them in Affinity Photo, at least not in the way that you can in Photoshop. So unless I need to build out an image with the Timeline, I never open Photoshop. movies 123 movies

Hi Jasonpaul and Welcome to the Forums,

I think you've covered all the benefits of Affinity over other software.

Oh and we also can't create animated gifs and i don't believe we have any plans to add that function.

Rather than opening just another comparison discussion you should at least contribute to the latest one.

Seeing the Photo vs Photoshop and "Lightroom?" discussions over and over again I think it's time to make the oldest/longest threads sticky.
